Double Alpha Academy Batteria di Ricambio per CED 7000

After approximately 2 years of use, you are likely to see a deterioration in the performance of your rechargeable battery in your CED7000 shot time. This is normal, and a familiar situation with all cell phone, PDAs and other devices using small rechargeable batteries.

You can purchase a new battery and replace it yourself; however, you must do so with caution, as the small connectors and parts in your timer can easily be damaged if mishandled.

You can always choose to have us change the batter for you – in which case you need to send us your timer, and we will charge you only for the battery and the cost of mailing the timer back to you.

Should you choose to change the battery yourself, follow these instructions:
Remove the small screws from the back of the timer, and then using a flat blade knife, pry open the two halve of the timer. Try to unlock both sides before gently pulling them apart – you want to pull the halves straight away from each other, not at an angle, as there are two sets of plugs that are being unplugs as you separate the parts.

** In the oldest models, there are wires connecting the two halves (first and second production only, for timers dating back to June-July 2006). In this case do not separate the parts too far apart – as you do not want to pull the wires loose.

Unplug the old battery, and insert the new one. Use a piece of double sided tape or warm glue to hold it in place so it does not rock around. Assemble the timer again, pay attention to align the plugs correctly, as well as the small plastic lip between the top “Start” and “Review” buttons. Press the two halves together until they click into place, and reassemble the screws.
Do not over tighten the screws!
Dispose of the old battery according to regulation.

Double Alpha Academy Fondina Alpha-X Destra Black Senza Inserto

In recent years Double‑Alpha Academy’s competition holsters have been setting the benchmark for advanced design and cutting-edge performance. The Race Master Holster has become the go-to competition holster worldwide for many top Champion shooters in our sport.

Double-Alpha is known for not standing still, and over time the Race Master Holster has been improved. Upgrades and refinements were made to its hanger system and more recently, to the patented insert block, making it magnetic and improving its performance further.

And now, over the past few months, DAA has been working on the next generation holster.
We are very proud to introduce the Alpha-X holster!

The ALPHA-X was born of years of experience and market feedback, looking to take the Race Master Holster even further, creating a new fresh, striking look and adding several meaningful performance upgrades.

New Ball Joint and Lock-Up Mechanism

The ball joint of the Alpha-X offers a wide range of motion, allowing you to position your holster at just the right angle. This holster uses a much larger ball joint and a pressure lug lock-up, which locks the ball firmly without marking or damaging it. With this system even the smallest adjustments are always possible.

The ball joint is now located higher up, closer to the center of the holster. This reduces the torque and forces applied, contributing to the solid rigid feel of the holster.

A large easy-to-reach one-screw locking system allows you to adjust the holster position even when wearing it.

    Body Rail Height Adjustment

The Alpha-X achieves its height adjustment by means of a rail built directly into the side of the holster body itself. This offers an extended range of adjustment and again reduces torque and forces applied. Here too the lock up is achieved by an expanding dovetail mechanism that does not gouge or damage the rail.

    Detachable Belt Hanger

The Alpha-X has a two-piece belt hanger which can be dismantled by opening a single screw, allowing all position settings to be maintained while removing the holster body from the belt for easier space-saving transport.

The Alpha-X belt bracket is designed to fit only on a 1.5” wide competition style belt. It will not fit on a 1.75” or a 2” belt unless you are prepared to cut a piece out of the belt. And, like all Race holsters, it should only be used on a firm, rigid, thick belt.

    Interchangeable Color Logo Inserts

The Alpha-X is available in black anodize only, with an assortment of optional color inserts for the hanger and body logos. You can change these laser-cut plastic inserts whenever you choose.

The Same Race Master Insert Blocks!

The Alpha-X utilizes the same successful magnetic insert blocks used by the latest generation Race Master Holster. An Alpha-X Holster can be purchased with or without an insert block, making the upgrade easier and more affordable for shooters already using our Race Master Holsters.

With its improved performance, simplicity and striking new looks, the Alpha-X is poised to become the next Race Holster of choice for shooters worldwide.

    CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING

Read the following instructions carefully before using this holster or Insert Block:

    • Never holster a loaded firearm without first engaging its safety.
    • Check periodically to ensure your safety is functioning correctly.
    • Never disengage the safety of the firearm until well clear of the holster and the muzzle is pointing down range.
    • Make sure you are fully familiar with the correct use, and adjustment of your DAA Holster before attempting to use it with a loaded firearm.
    • Make sure that you have the correct holster/Insert model for your type of firearm.
    • Do not use a holster that is unsuited to your firearm, as that could result in unreliable retention or release which could lead to a fatal accident.
    • Never use a trigger shoe or a widened trigger with this holster.
    • Double check that the retention and release work well, particularly if any modifications have been made to your firearm.
    • Care must be taken to ensure the gun is placed properly when returned to the holster. It if it is not positioned correctly, it will not be held securely and may fall out.
    • Never holster the gun quickly or with force, as that increases the chance of making contact with the trigger.
    • Any adjustment or modification to the holster design may render it unsafe or cause malfunction.
    • Take care that the firearm is not dislodged or knocked when holstered, particularly when the holster’s safety lever is unlocked. As this holster has no muzzle support, take care that the muzzle of the gun is not bumped upwards, as this may dislodge the gun from the holster
    • Keep your fingers well clear of the trigger when holstering and drawing the firearm.
    • The holster should be locked when running or jumping with a holstered gun, or you should keep your hand on the gun’s grip to prevent it accidentally falling.
    • Handling a loaded firearm, and drawing it from a holster is inherently dangerous. You do so entirely at your own risk and responsibility.
    • Liability is limited only to the replacement of this holster or parts thereof. No additional warranties are expressed or implied by the manufacturer or the distributors.

Double Alpha Academy Inserto per Alpha-X CZ Shadow 2

PLEASE NOTE: If you are ordering a holster or an insert block for a CZ TS checkmate or CZ TS Orange, please contact us first with a picture of your trigger guard area. CZ seem to be using two styles of frames for these pistols ,and without seeing your gun, we will not know which insert model you need. More details here: Click here for more details.

    US Patent No. 8720754.

Note: Both the Race Master and the Alpha-X holsters use the same insert blocks.

The Race Master Holster utilizes an efficient and easy system to allow shooters to switch their holster from one gun type to another by means of changing the Insert Block Assembly. This switch is fast and easy and can be done in less than a minute, and without losing any of the holster’s adjustments or settings.

    The Insert Block Assembly includes:
    1. The Locking Block (gun specific).
    2. The Sliding Lock, assembled (gun specific).
    3. The safety lever, assembled.
    4. The internal magnetic activation system, assembled.

The Insert block grips the pistol only on the front end of the trigger guard, and a very precise fit is required in that area. In some cases some light modifications to the Insert Block may be required.

Should you need to dismantle your insert block for some fitting, follow these steps:
    1. Remove the insert block from the holster by removing the two small M4 screws from the back of the holster.
    2. Using a punch and hammer, push the two steel pins from the front of the block towards the back (push from the side with the gun type engraved). These pins may be tight.
    3. Once the pins are out, the plastic wedge holding the 2nd magnet will come out. Make sure the magnet does not fall out the part. It is usually held snugly it its pocket.
    4. Use a marker to make a dot on the top of the magnet which is embedded in the slide lock. This will make it easy for you to ensure that you reassemble it with the correct side up. Most likely it will fall out or you will want to remove it while fitting the slide lock.
    5. To remove the slide lock from the block, unscrew the M3 screw visible from the back of the block – and then slide the slide lock upwards and out through the window in the block – passed the safety lever, which must be in the unlocked position.

    To reassemble- reverse your steps.

The Race-Master Holster Insert Blocks are design to be used in either RH or LH holsters. The same insert works for both.

Double Alpha Academy SHOTMAXX-2 Watch Timer – White Display

In late 2013 we launched the SHOTMAXX, which took the shooting world by storm. It was the first ever watch-size fully-functional Shot Timer, and it outperformed the hand-held timers in most categories. The light-weight watch allows shooter to train with the device on, without it interfering with their normal draw or gun handling. ROs can safely run the stage, while keeping both hands free to help or control the shooter if need be.

Three years of market feedback, and considerable investment in research and design, result in a product which takes the SHOTMAXX a huge leap forward – to the new SHOTMAXX-2.

While SHOTMAXX-2 utilizes the same watch housing and display as its predecessor, that is where the replication ends. The new SHOTMAXX-2 now has a larger strap add-on, housing a bigger, much louder and more robust speaker, which delivers a truly surprising volume from such a small package.

The battery capacity has been more than doubled, now offering enough battery life for several days of continuous use on the range. The battery readout system has been upgrade too, and shows a true and accurate battery level, based on real voltage measurements, and not a usage calculation.

String memory has been added in the SHOTMAXX-2. You can now scroll back and review 9 strings of 99 shots each which are stored in the device’s memory.

Addition beep level and frequency options give you more control over the sound your timer makes when activated.

The unique shot detection, either by microphone or accelerometer sensors has been improved further, refining the shot-detection algorithms to ensure that every type of range, weapon and distance from shooter are well supported. The SHOTMAXX’s extreme sensitivity is retained, allowing the SHOTMAXX-2 to function as the best Airsoft timer on the market as well!

Shoot on a busy range while wearing the SHOTMAXX-2 running in Accelerometer mode, and you will be able to pick up your shots ONLY. Other shots fired close by will not be recorded.

The Spy mode feature is retained, giving the option to activate the Timer off your first-hand motion at the start of a stage, and record all your split times as you shoot through. You can even set delays to compensate for your reaction time to the RO’s beep.

There is, though, one feature which has been removed from the SHOTMAXX-2, and that is the Bluetooth capability. We decided not to include it in this model, as it was not a widely-used feature, and freeing up the BT components space allowed additional memory and other improvements.

Display: the black model has a black background and copper/gold digits and the white model has a white background with black digits.

    Which display should I choose?

Well, first off, it’s a personal preference. Some really like the slick and more modern appearance of the gold characters on black, which mergers nicely into the color of the watch’s frame and strap. Both types, of course, offer the exact same features and both are clear and easy to read in bright sunlight. However, if you plan to use it indoors, or in low light condition, you may find the white display offers better contrast and an easier display to read in poor light.
